How to make a  DVD using dvdSanta

This is a very simple process because dvdSanta encodes the files directly to VOB files and then authors the DVD, then dvdSanta goes on to burn the disk. This means that dvdSanta is an all in one application that can complete the entire process for you!

In this tutorial I'm going to explain how to create a DVD from any video file.

Ok - this is the splash screen, simply choose the 'Video Files' button and click

Firstly, lets look at the top half of the next window.  Firstly you need to add the video files you want to use, you can add as many as you like, but they will be added to the same DVD. Now click Add Media to select the video files.

Click on the file(s) you want to make into a DVD and click 'Open'.

Now you can see that dvdSanta has imported your file.  When dvdSanta was first installed it created a default folder where it will put your DVD files while they are being used by the software, you can choose a different folder if you wish, but for now lets just leave it as it is.  Choose the right format for your part of the world NTSC or PAL and then pick the resolution (always pick 'High').  The only other choice you need to make is to choose full screen or widescreen, although you can pick either it is best to choose the one that matches your original file.

Once your happy with all your choices click 'Create DVD'.

You will see the blue progress bar work its way across the screen as your DVD files are created.

dvdSanta will now convert the video files in DVD. When it's finished it will ask you to burn the disc. If you click No, you can burn with your favourite burning software. If you click Yes the burning tool will open, so see below for details!

Just click 'Burn!' - Your DVD will now be created, this can be quite a sensitive process and uses alot of your system resources, so don't use your computer to do anything else until the process completes.

Enjoy your new DVD!
